Mayor Watson stated there is a brewery interested in the former Kirby’s Mill Feed Store. Mayor Watson stated he and Ms. Portocalis met with representatives of the brewery and informed them of the rehabilitation and abatement offers available within the Village. Discussion ensued regarding rehabilitation, abatement and PILOTs.

Council discussed a brewery looking at the 17-19 North Main property. Discussion ensued regarding a redevelopment plan and meeting with the interested party.
Mayor Watson met with the developer of the Kirby’s Feed Store to see the progress of the project and discussed other projects the developer may be interested in pursuing.

Mr. Prime stated the Planning Board will review the 17-19 North Main Street Redevelopment Plan at their April meeting. If the Planning Board agrees there will be a resolution for Council’s consideration on the May 4th Council Agenda.

Redevelopment – Mr. Prime stated he obtained quotes for appraisals of the 17-19 North Main Street property. Two appraisals are required. Mr. Prime will work on the Request for Proposals.

Mr. Prime informed Council the appraisals of the 17-19 North Main Street property are almost complete. Once the appraisals are completed, the next step of the process will be to prepare the Request For Proposal.

Mr. Prime informed Council the appraisals of the 17-19 North Main Street property have been received. The appraisals varied in value and the Township will take the difference of the two and ask for this amount for payment of the land. Mr. Prime is preparing the Request for Proposal. Mr. Prime informed Council that the Township can enter into a private sale because of the property being part of a redevelopment.

Mr. Prime stated he has completed the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the 17-19 North Main Street Property Redevelopment Area. Mr. Prime asked Council to review and provide any comments. Once the Mayor gives the okay on the final version of the RFP it can be advertised.

Mr. Prime advised Council that he is working on the redevelopment ordinance for 17-19 North Main Street. Mr. Prime is waiting on the Redevelopment Plan in order to finalize the ordinance.

Mr. Prime advised Council that he and Mayor Watson had a teleconference call with representatives for Magnify Brewing. Mr. Prime stated Magnify Brewing is in the process of performing an Environmental Phase I study.Mrs. Burger stated she has scheduled a time for the company performing the environmental study to go through the building.
Mr. Prime continues to work on the Redevelopment Plan and Agreement.
